The New York Knicks are being fined by the NBA for $200,000, for conducting illegal draft practices.

The Knicks scout Rodney Heard who is also being fined for $20,000 for leading the practices. The illegal practices took place in May 2007 and again in May 2010.

The investigation first began after Yahoo! Sports reported the Knicks scout Heard, was conducting workouts with draft prospects, which violated the league's rules.

The Knicks are complying with the league to prevent any further investigation.
